Size: S, M, L, XL 31"L
We take raw fabric and work with our batik artists to design the fabric through a mixture of painting, dyeing and printing on the fabric with wax. once your print is complete, we steam set the dyes to limit any fading. Your fabric then goes to our tailor to be handmade into your beautiful Bene Caribe Piece.
This process takes time, but trust me, when you get your piece it is all worth it and it will last you!
Hand wash & line dry Rayon clothing, and handling wet rayon with extra care.
Be sure to iron rayon while it's still damp. It will make the job much easier.
Never iron rayon right side out without a pressing cloth to protect it. Rayon will gain a shine to it if you iron it directly. Either iron the inside of the garment or use a pressing cloth on the outside.
The hand-painted/Batik silk can be hand washed in cooler water with a mild soap. Be careful not to rub or twist the fabric too hard, as well as not to let it soak for hours in the water.
Hang it on a towel rack to dry. Press the silk always on the reverse side, using a warm setting/or the silk setting of your iron. Avoid using hot iron onto the silk - you may burn the fabric. Do not bleach and do not dry clean.
The silk dyes used for the painting have been steamed-set for permanence, and you can hand-wash the fabric as often as you might need. Silk can also be dry cleaned. Please remember that sometimes dry cleaners use active agents that may cause some damage to the smoothness or the lush feeling of the silk fabric. Go to cleaners in case of an accidental stain that you do not know how to treat.
