SHIPPING

Some of our pieces are stocked and others are made to order: Please look at the item descriptions to verify the type of order you are making.

  • Stocked pieces will be shipped within 7 business days of your order. For expedited shipping please contact us
  • Made to order pieces are handmade in Trinidad and Tobago and some in Washington DC and will take from 4 weeks to 8 weeks (depending on the piece) to be complete and ready to be shipped. You will receive notice via email once your item had shipped. please allow 4 to 6 weeks after your order for your item to arrive.
  • Wholesale and consignment orders will take up to 12 weeks for fulfillment. 

US SHIPPING

All US orders are shipped using USPS. 

We do not ship orders on Saturdays, Sundays or holidays. Your order will be shipped by USPS Priority Mail, with a tracking number and insurance coverage.

Once shipped, your order should arrive within 2-4 days. This applies to U.S. orders only.

Please contact us if you need your purchase to be upgraded to Express Mail shipping.

Please feel free to contact us for additional information. Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based.  To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS

For international orders, please allow additional time to process and receive your purchase(s), depending on country of delivery. Your order will be shipped by USPS International Priority Mail, with a tracking number (when applicable based on country of delivery) and insurance coverage.

 INTERNATIONAL EXPRESS (MUST BE REQUESTED BEFORE YOU ORDER)

International Express Shipping(in most cases) is quickest way to receive your package. To request international Express delivery, please contact us before you place your order as there will more than likely be additional costs involved.

We can ship to virtually any address in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.

When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.

CUSTOMS, DUTY & VAT FOR INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS

Be aware that tax or import duties may be charged on top of the purchase price once your package reaches your destination country. You will have to pay these charges.Customs policies vary widely from country to country so please contact your local customs office for further information.

We are obligated to declare the value of all goods and to list the true purchase price on all forms shipped with your product contained in each order to customs. All duty taxes and fees are the responsibility of the customer.

Please note that Bene Caribe is not responsible for any orders that are lost, damaged or stolen via transit in the mail.

SHIPPING IN TRINIDAD & TOBAGO

All Trinidad based orders are shipped using TTPOST Courier Mail which takes 2-3 days from the ship date. We ship once a week on Thursdays. Please feel free to contact us for additional information. Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based.  To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.

 

RETURNS

Gosh we hope that you love your Bene Caribe piece! but in case you are not satisfied with your purchase, we will gladly accept exchanges on all items in original condition within 30 days of receipt. You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund.Return shipping is paid by the customer (*signature confirmation must be included with your returned item(s)*), but we'll pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.

 MAKING A RETURN

You must state the order number as well as your name and address on the form with your return. Use the online returns portal here

Provide a detailed description of the problem. If it is a problem on our part and you have a claim, please provide a copy of your receipt for your freight/ shipping charges if we have to reimburse them.

Without these details we will not be able to process your refund.
