DON SEALY

The batik fabrics we use in our pieces are handmade wax batiks made in Trinidad and Tobago by Don Sealy. Working with a handmade artisan allows us to order small batches of fabrics as they are needed for or pieces, rather than mass ordering bolts of fabric (which could create unnecessary waste).

Don Sealy has been working as a fabric artist since the 70's and his batiks have hit almost every continent of the globe. It is our honor to work with Don and his family for our Bene Caribe pieces.

I work with Don to design some prints uniquely for Bene Caribe, but we also use his print designs in some unique color arrays. whatever the print, you should know that because it is handmade, each piece of fabric is unique and uniquely yours!
